Governor's Annual Statement on the State of the Economy

I am pleased to present the annual statement on the state of the Zambian economy for 2025.

Economic Performance:

The economy has demonstrated remarkable resilience, with GDP growth projected at 4.5% for 2025. Inflation has moderated to single digits, and the exchange rate has remained stable.

Outlook:

We expect continued economic expansion in 2026, supported by favorable commodity prices and improved agricultural output.
